Rear Theaker

Artistic Gymnastics

Training under Tracey Skirton-Davies at Sport Wales National Centre, Raer's achievements include helping Wales win the team title at last year's Northern European Championships in Glasgow. She finished fifth all-around at the 2011 British Junior Championships.

Raer also stormed to three silvers at the 2011 Youth Commonwealth Games in the Isle of Man - on the bars, the beam and in the women's team event, alongside Angel Romaeo and Kiera Brennan.

When not training and competing Raer loves to shop and dance and is proud to have represented GB and competed in international competitions for the last three years.

We have her Mum, Maxine, to thank for Raer taking up gymnastics. "I had a lot of energy when I was younger so my Mum decided to put me into gymnastics." Before that, she was playing rugby!

The Welsh Artistic team of Lizzie Beddoe, Georgina Hockenhull, Jessica Hogg, Angel Romaeo and Raer Theaker took bronze with a score of 160.095.
