Biography

The 20-year-old from Radyr has an enviable trophy cabinet. In 2013, she helped the welsh team win gold at the Northern Europeans and she also won individual bronze. She has been the British Age Group Champion in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2008!

Other achievements include winning overall gold at the UK School Games in 2009 and finishing seventh at the 2011 Tokyo World Cup.

She first took up gymnastics because her Mum took her along to classes at her local leisure centre just for fun. Progressing quickly, she was quickly snapped up by the local club.

Lizzie suffered an ongoing injury to her ankle earlier last year. She is being supported by Sport Wales' sports science and medicine team with physiotherapy, nutrition, massage, physiology and strength and conditioning sessions.

The Welsh team of Lizzie Beddoe, Georgina Hockenhull, Jessica Hogg, Angel Romaeo and Raer Theaker took bronze with a score of 160.095 in Women's artistic team.
